Some teams required girs to wear skirts. In college basketball, some on the team weren't even allowed to cross half court. Sometimes just to raise funds for uniforms, girls basketball players had to clean up after football games! My how things have changed! A true pioneer of women's basketball in West Virginia, Kathy Roten, shares a little of the history and insight into how she began the programs at both Parkersburg South High School and Glenville State College.
