1. Enlist as a Faithful Soldier of Christ
(2 Timothy 2:1-2; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9)
Every believer is invited to willingly serve under the lordship of Jesus Christ. Salvation comes by God's grace through faith, and those who belong to Christ are called to pass their faith on to others by making disciples. God's grace both saves and strengthens believers for faithful service.

2. Stay Focused on Christ's Mission
(2 Timothy 2:3-4; Luke 9:23; Romans 12:1-2)
Like a good soldier, Christians must avoid becoming entangled in distractions that pull them away from their primary calling. Following Jesus requires sacrifice, perseverance, and a willingness to place God's priorities above personal comfort. Faithful believers seek to please their true Commanding Officer, Jesus Christ.

3. Train Yourself and Equip Others
(2 Timothy 2:2, 15; Matthew 28:19-20; Joshua 1:8-9)
God calls believers to continually grow in His Word while preparing others to faithfully serve Him. Spiritual maturity develops through biblical study, faithful obedience, and investing in the lives of others. Every Christian has the opportunity to leave a legacy by training the next generation of disciples.

4. Fight the Good Fight with God's Strength
(1 Timothy 6:12; Ephesians 6:10-18; 2 Corinthians 10:4; Philippians 4:7)
The Christian life is a spiritual battle that cannot be won through human strength alone. God equips His people with spiritual armor, the truth of His Word, prayer, and the power of the Holy Spirit to stand firm against temptation and the attacks of the enemy. Victory belongs to those who faithfully trust and follow Christ.

5. Live for the Eternal Reward
(2 Timothy 4:7-8; Matthew 6:33; Luke 9:24)
The sacrifices believers make for Christ are never wasted. Those who faithfully endure, serve, and remain committed to Jesus can look forward to the eternal reward He has promised. Living for Christ today prepares believers to one day hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
