There is nothing more pitiful than a pauper pretending to be rich. There is nothing more deceitful than a political party always pretending to decrease tyranny, but instead increasing tyranny on the people—as in the case of the Republican Party. America still thinks she is rich and free, but she is extremely enslaved, poor, broken, bankrupted, wretched, and blind (spiritually and in every other way). There is no hope for a nation that won’t admit it.
