Description
Surfers and beach lovers, buckle up for a wild ride along the Southern California coastline! We're looking at some serious wave action today that'll have adrenaline junkies and cautious swimmers paying close attention.

Malibu and Los Angeles County beaches are serving up some gnarly surf with west-facing beaches rocking 3 to 6-foot swells and south-facing beaches rolling in at 2 to 4 feet. The rip current risk is cranked up to HIGH, so even experienced water warriors need to stay alert. Water temps are chilly at 53 to 58 degrees - wetsuit mandatory!

Ventura County is matching that intensity with identical 3 to 6-foot surf and a high rip current warning. Cold water alert: 54 to 57 degrees, so pack that neoprene.

Santa Barbara's southwestern and southeastern coasts are hosting a more mellow scene with moderate rip current risk and 2 to 4-foot waves. Water's sitting around 53 to 55 degrees - still wetsuit territory.

Up north, San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara central coast beaches are the big wave champions today. Northwest-facing beaches are exploding with 5 to 8-foot monsters, while south-facing breaks deliver solid 3 to 5-foot sets. Water's extra crisp at 50 to 52 degrees.

For all zones, a consistent west swell is driving today's conditions. Tides will dance between low points around 0.6 to 0.9 feet and high points reaching 2.5 to 4.6 feet throughout the day.

Tomorrow looks slightly calmer with moderate rip current risks and slightly smaller 2 to 4-foot waves across most regions. Stay safe, respect the ocean, and catch those waves responsibly!
