The annual Mexican celebration "Día de los Muertos" (Day of the dead) is a time when families gather to honor and remember deceases loved ones. Traditions connected with the holiday include: honoring the deceased using Calavera's, use cempazuchitl's, build home altars called Ofrenda's with the favorite foods and beverages of the departed and visiting graves with these items as gifts for the deceased.
