Marv as he likes to be called is the Medical Program Director for the emergency medical services system for Bellingham, Washington, and Whatcom County for the past 45 years. Marv left surgery to enter the world of Emergency Medicine and EMS. Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1943 and graduated from Mumford High School and traveled all over including England and Vietnam before settling in the pacific northwest. Marv takes us through a difficult surgery and situation while in Vietnam that you don't want to miss. We discuss his career, his Army Service, EMS in his local area, EMS in today's world, and a history lesson regarding the AED.
