Why Some Oregonians Have To Commit Crimes To Get Mental Health Treatment

Published 1 year, 2 months ago
Description

Our country has a terrible history of providing proper care for people suffering from severe mental illness, and civil commitment (court-ordered involuntary treatment) is especially controversial. If you or anyone you know is struggling with thoughts of suicide, you can always call the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988. There's help available 24 hours a day.
