Psalm 92:11-15

The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 13Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. 14They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; 15To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

DEPENDING ON THE SPECIES, THE DATE PALM TREE CAN LIVE TO WELL OVER A 100 YEARS STILL PRODUCING FRUIT 🍇 HOWEVER COMMERCIAL FARMERS NORMALLY REPLACE THEM BEFORE THEY REACH THIER NATURAL LIFESPAN.

Proverbs‬ ‭16:31‬ ‭

The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness. 

1 Kings 11:4

For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.

Isaiah 46:4

And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.

Psalm 71:9

Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.

Psalm 71:17-18

O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works. 18Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come. 

1 Chronicles 29:26-28

Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel. 27And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem. 28And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour: and Solomon his son reigned in his stead. 

THE AGED MUST THANK GOD FOR LONG LIFE AND PRAY THAT THEY DO NOT WASTE THE EXTRA TIME GOD HAS GRACIOUSLY GIVEN THEM.

Luke‬ ‭2:36-38‬ ‭RSV‬‬

“And there was a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanu-el, of the tribe of Asher; she was of a great age, having lived with her husband seven years from her virginity, and as a widow till she was eighty-four. She did not depart from the temple, worshiping with fasting and prayer night and day. And coming up at that very hour she gave thanks to God, and spoke of him to all who were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem.”

Psalms‬ ‭90:10-12‬ ‭NIV‬

“Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away. If only we knew the power of your anger! Your wrath is as great as the fear that is your due. Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”

Job 28:28

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.
