The most dangerous place to be is to be in a position of authority in Christ Jesus, and have pride — to be promoted ahead of your character development. However, there are times when you’re promoted at the right time, but one can back slide. The most dangerous “deceitfulness of riches”, is power and influence over people — it is NOT material possession, it’s power and influence AND it can mutate your personality into arrogance, even becoming narcissistic. God resist the proud but gives grace to the humble.
