A.P. Giannini: The Visionary Behind Bank of America (New Film)

Episode 292 Published 1 year, 2 months ago
Description

Director Davide Fiore chats about his new film--A Little Fellow: The Legacy of A.P. Giannini, which makes its US premiere at the CINEQUEST Film Festival March 13th. A.P. Giannini wasn’t just any banker. He founded Bank of America, building what would become one of the largest financial institutions in the world. And he did it by betting on the people that traditional banks ignored—immigrants, working-class families, and small businesses. His impact is everywhere: he financed the Golden Gate Bridge, backed Hollywood’s early studios, and proved that banking could be a tool for progress rather than exclusion. Yet, somehow, his story has never been told on film—until now.
