Mt. Rushmore 2000s Centers
Description
In the 2000s decade, the role shift of the NBA center changed right before us. In this era, the last of the back-to-the basket big man post-up scheme gradually faded away. In this episode, Uriah, Maurice, Lucas, and Ben reveal a top ten list of NBA centers of this time period and narrow the sample down to an elite list of four. The top three centers on our Mt. Rushmore list was quite simple: Shaquille O'Neal, Dwight Howard, and Ben Wallace. Who would make the fourth and final spot? Was it Amar'e Stoudemire? Yao Ming? Or was it someone else?
Listen to find out how they fared against one another and what awards they earned in this decade. The stats and accolades may surprise you as we walk down memory lane with this group of centers that preceded the evolution of the modern NBA big man.
