Description
Surf's up, wave riders! We're looking at some seriously spicy ocean conditions along the Southern California coastline today. Buckle up for a wild ride from Malibu to Santa Barbara!

Malibu and LA County beaches are serving up some gnarly surf with 3 to 5 foot waves and a HIGH rip current risk. Translation: these waters mean business! Water temps are hovering around a chilly 55 to 58 degrees, so you'll want that wetsuit locked and loaded.

Ventura County is running a similar playbook with matching wave heights and that same high rip current warning. Water's a touch cooler at 53 to 56 degrees - definitely wetsuit territory.

Heading north to Santa Barbara, things calm down slightly with a moderate rip current risk and 2 to 4 foot surf. Water temps are dropping to a brisk 52 to 54 degrees - hope you brought your thermal protection!

For our hardcore wave chasers up in San Luis Obispo, you're looking at the most impressive conditions - 5 to 8 foot waves today dropping to 4 to 7 feet tomorrow. Bonus meteorological excitement: there's a slight chance of thunderstorms brewing!

Across all regions, we've got a mixed swell scenario with south and west swells playing tag. Tides will be dancing between low points around negative 0.5 to 0.7 feet and high points reaching 5.2 to 5.5 feet throughout the day.

Bottom line: serious ocean energy out there. Respect the water, know your limits, and stay safe. Surf smart, stay stoked!
