Tillie Pierce was the author of *At Gettysburg, or What a Girl Saw and Heard of the Battle: A True Narrative*. Published over twenty-five years after the Battle of Gettysburg, which took place on July 1, 2, and 3, 1863, the book recounts her experiences during the American Civil War.
