VGK lost to the L.A. Kings Sunday night, despite a Tomas Hertl hat trick in the game. The Golden Knights dug a deep hole, trailing 3-0 out of the chute. They had several comebacks in the game and came within a goal of tying the contest late, but still fell 6-5. The Kings won the season series 3-1 and scored 16 goals the past three meetings.
