Michael Reddell is a former senior official at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ). He was Head of Financial Markets from 2000 to 2003 – he was an economic adviser to the central banks of Papua New Guinea and Zambia and served on the Board of the International Monetary Fund – although being semi-retired he writes regularly on central bank issues and New Zealand's economic performance.
