Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs earned a five seed in the midwest region of the 2024 NCAA Tournament, where they will play 12 seed McNeese State in Salt Lake City on Thursday. This is a fantastic sign of respect for the Zags, and they could get a second round matchup against a beat up Kansas Jayhawks team and beyond that a rematch with Zach Edey and No. 1 Purdue.

St. Mary's also earned a five seed as the committee seemed to value the WCC, while BYU was only given a six seed. Elsewhere, former Zag coach Dan Monson led Long Beach State to a Big West title and a 15 seed against another former Gonzaga coach, Tommy Lloyd, while former Zags Hunter Sallis and Efton Reid were left out of the Field of 68 at Wake Forest.
