Marty discusses the April build week including the current state of scheduling and staffing, the bidpacks, the loss of certain routes, the relationship between line pilots and pilots in the schoolhouse, and the company’s approach to calculating the buy-up value. He also discusses the Company’s Reserve Forecast Modeling System and how it impacts pilots’ ability to adjust their schedules. Finally, he talks about how company is intentionally reducing reserve coverage to push the airline into a staffing shortage situation, which restricts pilots’ pay, flexibility and quality of life.
