Part 7 of the US, China series on Germany’s position in the nascent strategic confrontation.  Germany has major interests with China, and it’s keen  not to disrupt these interests.  Yet, Germany certainly is committed to the Trans-Atlantic Alliance led by the United States, and to the Western view of seeing the world, a view that js essentially different from that of China.  And with that, Germany has a major weight in Europe -  and a key, if not  the key, role in the European project.
