The Return of Tot Mom: TikTok Stardom as Casey Anthony Haters Beg ‘Go Away’
Description
Tot Mom Casey Anthony joins TikTok and is starting a Substack as a "legal advocate" who will quote "advocate for my daughter". In her first TikTok, Anthony claims she has "been in the legal field since 2011," an accurate statement if you count being on trial for the murder of your daughter as being in the Legal field. Anthony was acquitted of the murder, but convicted of lying to police. She mentions using the platform that was "thrust upon" her as a blessing not a curse as she is a proponent for the LGBTQ community.
As Casey Anthony chases her new gig as a self-proclaimed "legal advocate," she re-introduces herself by mentioning her daughter, Caylee, as well as her parents, George and Cindy. She says the TikTok is not about her parents or anything they have said or done, but adds she might talk about them in the future.
Along with her TikTok video, Casey Anthony announces her deal with Substack, a subscription-based service that allows writers and podcasters to release material directly to subscribers. Subscriptions to Anthony’s Substack channel cost $10 a month or $100 annually, although she also offers free subscriptions with limited content.
The world found out about Casey Anthony when her mother called 911 to say her granddaughter had been missing for nearly a month and her daughter, Casey Anthony just admitted it. Casey Anthony begins to spin a web of lies claiming a nanny had 2-year-old Caylee but hadn't returned her. Police and the media get on the case, and nothing Casey Anthony says turns out to be true.
On October 14th, Casey Anthony is indicted by a grand jury on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child, and four counts of providing false information to police. Anthony is arrested, pleads not-guilty and is held without bail. Prosecutors announce they plan to seek the death penalty. Anthony is acquitted of the murder charge, but the jury found Casey Anthony guilty on 4 counts of providing false information to law enforcement.
