1. 西方有严格的“法定饮酒年龄”

在美国，the legal drinking age is 21.  21岁之前不能喝酒，买酒也不可以。美国不满21岁的人，身份证上会有一行字：under 21 until + 某年某月某日

2. 美国人怎么看待酒？

美国人对酒的态度非常diverse(多样化)，具体还要看个人的生长背景。

Someone’s view of alcohol（某个人对酒的态度）very much depends on（很大程度上取决于） who they are, where they are from and how they grew up.
