Comparison

Description

“Everyone is perfect without comparison.”

When you feel like your work or art isn’t good enough, what makes you feel that way?

Is it because it’s ineffective? Is it incomplete?

These are logical reasons as to why your work isn’t good enough. However, these usually aren’t reasons we think something isn’t good enough.

Usually we compare it to something or someone. We think, “this isn’t as good as someone else’s work”.

We may also be in awe of someone else’s ability rather than cultivating our own. You may even compare your art or work to your own previous work.

Comparison kills creativity.

Comparison can kill joy.

If you really feel the need to focus on others, remove comparison and replace it with collaboration. Also, perfection is ever elusive.

So stop chasing it.
