Tonight we will ask questions like "How did Origen read the bible, was Origen's pattern of hermeneutics unique to the culture he lived in, and how was it that Origen's patter of hermeneutics was able to so greatly impact the early church. It is well known that Origen saw a "spiritual meaning" beyond the plain reading of the text. Is this something Christians should likewise strive for, or is this something we should avoid?"
