The biggest surprise of January's TikTok "Ban" was the number of finance creators who had all of their digital assets in one place, although they preach daily to diversify "other" assets. This is a reminder to all of us to own our assets, to never rely on a single platform, and to continue to grow and build and move forward through our own volition. Relying on the power of an algorithm or someone else's distribution channels is quite the risk, and I prefer to own my assets, my time, and hopefully, my ability to reach an audience.
