Hd Substance has been exposed to electronics for more than three decades, born in 1970 he lived the 80’s as a teeneger, experiencing in realtime all the synth pop golden era watching his fIrst Depeche Mode concert at the early age of 15. Soon he estarts the trio Ballet Mecánico with heavy electronic pop influences, touched soon by the north european EBM dark wave. After a travel to London in the late 80’s he discovers Acid House and the rave culture, starting his solo project Hd Substance at the beginning of the 90’s. His firt release comes in the compilation Electronic Generators, released by the cult label Geometrik, home of the anthemical industrial band Esplendor Geometrico. After that stepping stone he releases a several 12” and two albums on the seminal pop label Elefant Records during the nineties as well as in labels from all over the world. During the beginning of the 21th century continues releasing in labels like Primary or Consigned recordings and gives birth to his label Atlas, gainig great succes in the techno world. 30 years after he is still here, as dj, producer and journalist, giving all his body and soul to electronic music. Now running the SUB tl label with Leandro Gámez and touring the best techno clubs like Berghain, Razzmatazz, Rodnya Moscow, Lola Shanghai or The Works in Detroit.
