In today’s episode, I am exploring advice given by my dad and various other people in regards to how successful couples have made it.

Top of the list is respect followed closely by good communication skills and consideration.  As they say, the highest form of love is consideration….. considering how a decision is going to impact your partner. Working collaboratively as a team, and making decisions together will solidify a relationship, build, trust and deepen  intimacy. 

Healthy familial love operates on respect not manipulation 

Healthy love whether it is love with a family or with an intimate partner operates on respect not manipulation. 

People who can’t find happiness within themselves often try to steal it from others.  They aren’t attacking you because of something you did wrong.  They are trying to destroy what they can never have.
