We continue our limited crossover marathon with our friends over at 80's TV Ladies to coincide with their look at the Nine to Five TV show with a film all about the horrors and dangers of nuclear power by way of Jane Fonda, The China Syndrome. Rankin on Bass's Richard Hatem and 80s TV Ladies' Susan Lambert Hatem join the show to talk about Jack Lemmon, nuclear power, and how prescent the film actually is.
Starring Jane Fonda and Michael Douglas, the duo play a newsteam tasked with doing an expose on how safe nuclear power is only to run afoul of the terrifying reality thanks to Jack Lemmon's whistleblower. What happens next runs parallel not only to recent events but also the events of Three Mile Island, which happened a week after the film's release.
