Description
We kick off Mike White May, this year all about Francis Veber films and their remakes, with a look at a film that would be remade into a Tom Hanks' vehicle, The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe. The Projection Booth's Mike White and Midnight Viewing's Father Malone join the episode to talk Tom Hanks, Pierre Richard, and the tones of both films.
The two films focus on the titular character who gets swept up in a plot to between warring government agencies by complete accident. Along the way, he must sort out his life, his best friend's wife who loves him, and the government spies attempting to kill him. Part farce, part spy thriller, all entertainment.
