Description
What happens between the time a person dies and the final resurrection? Theologically, this period of time is called the intermediate state. While the resurrection is final ultimate state for a person, the intermediate state is the penultimate essence of existence. But does the spirit live on after death?
Dr. Brian Chilton argues that a strong case can be made from the biblical texts that the conscious soul continues to exist beyond the scope of physical death.
