She graduated from New York University, receiving her Master's in Journalism (Cultural Reporting and Criticism) in 2019. At NYU, she was accepted into Ta-Nehisi Coates' prestigious writing workshop, which broadened her scope on the art of language. Additionally, she received her Bachelor's in Writing & Literature from Indiana University in 2014, where she formerly taught writing in 2021. She's currently the editor-in-chief for "Yellow Seeds Magazine."
