Richard speaks with an author/researcher about the potential hazards of plastics, heavy metals, food preservatives, processed foods, genetically modified organisms, drugs, ointments, medications, electromagnetic frequencies, radiation, treated water and all manner of substances alleged to make our modern lives easier. But are the chemicals we encounter, ingest, and breathe necessarily harmless?

Guest: Marie D. Jones is the best-selling author of over 25 non-fiction books, as well as several novels, short stories, anthologies, and novellas. She also has her own line of journals and an ETSY gift shop called Attitudenals.

She has an extensive background in journalism, metaphysics, new science, ufology, conspiracy theories, cutting edge science, and the paranormal and has worked as a field investigator for MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) in Los Angeles and San Diego in the 1980s and 1990s and as a researcher/writer for CUFOS, the Center for UFO Studies.

Marie appeared on the History Channel’s “Ancient Aliens” and “Nostradamus Effect” series and served as a special UFO/abduction consultant for the 2009 Universal Pictures promotional campaign for “The Fourth Kind.” She has been interviewed on over two thousand radio shows and podcasts all over the world, including Coast To Coast AM, NPR, KPBS Radio, Whitley Strieber’s Dreamland, the X-Zone, and the Shirley MacLaine Show. She has been a staff writer for Intrepid Magazine, Paranoia Magazine, FATE Magazine, Phenomenon, and Atlantis Rising. She is currently a staff writer for New Dawn Magazine.

She is a screenwriter and producer, with several projects under option for film and television. She sold her romantic comedy “Mistletoe Connections” to Larry Levinson Productions in 2020 and her thriller, “House of Lies” to Peter Foldy in 2021. She recently wrote and co-produced three short films, including “GRADUATION AFTERNOON” based on the Stephen King short story for his Dollar Baby program.

She blogs regularly on her “second” passion after writing, horse racing, for Sports As Told By a Girl, and is a fully-trained disaster emergency responder with CERT, Community Emergency Response Teams, and the Red Cross. She is also an amateur radio operator.
