Episode Details

A conversation with jazz trumpeter [Chuck Copenace](http://www.chuckcopenace.com/) in a busy mall food court (so forgive some of the background sounds). Chuck has been making a name for himself in the local community for his groove-heavy instrumental sounds as well as his outreach to indigenous youth in Manitoba. He's also headed to a jazz festival in Guatemala to bring his music to an entirely new audience, but before he goes, he's playing a set [this Friday](http://www.facebook.com/events/197970894091642/) at Urban Shaman Contemporary Aboriginal Art Gallery. This episode is brought to you by our friends at the Park Theatre, who are presenting [An Evening of Jazz Song](http://myparktheatre.com/event-calendar/8pm-amber-epp-heitha-forsyth/) featuring Amber Epp and Heitha Forsyth on Sunday, March 4; and by [Record Sundaze](http://www.facebook.com/events/396212277496619/), Feb. 18 at PEG Beer Co., featuring Dub Ditch Records, Eye and Ear Control, Eat 'Em Up Records, and Electric Heat Records.
