Healing from Victim Blaming

Healing from Victim Blaming

Published 10 months, 3 weeks ago
Description

Have you ever been a victim of an attack or abuse and then been blamed for your own attack? Or unjustly scrutinized? Victim blaming is something many of us, especially women, have been conditioned to hold.

Now we are seeing this in the firing of government employees given a justification of performance or lack when this is not the reason for their termination. We're seeing it in the way DEI hires are blamed for government waste and overspending. We are seeing this in the blaming of wars. And we are seeing it in the way women's rights are being stripped.

If you have not experienced or are not experiencing it yourself, you have undoubtedly witnessed it happening to others, and the impact of that witnessing affects all of us and our choices.

Victim blaming stifles our voices, keeps us from speaking up, keeps us in hiding and disconnected from our own truth and light. It puts a heavy energetic burden on the person who is the subject of blame.

But, no matter what ever happens to any of us, we still have a power inside of us that cannot be snuffed out, one that no one can take away from us. We can reclaim it and embody it. We can live our sacred strengths.
