[00:30] About Jonathan Shane’s Journey To The Health Space

  • Growing up, Jonathan developed the subconscious feeling of not being in control of his relationship to food.
  • He started emotional eating, and at age 14, he was 260 pounds with a 50-inch waist.
  • Jonathan’s doctor told him that he was killing himself.
  • So, he decided to lose weight. After cutting fat from his diet, he lost 100 pounds. However, his hormones were out of whack.
  • Jonathan’s binge eating tendencies built up because his ghrelin and leptin were all over the place.
  • Eventually, Jonathan found the ketogenic diet. He went nine months without relapsing on his bulimia when Jonathan started keto. Tomorrow will be three years since his last relapse.

 

[05:35] The Importance of Faith In Order To Have A Mental, Physical, and Overall Health Transformation

  • Humans are powerful creatures, and most of us don't realize what we're capable of as human beings.
  • However, we are innately broken in terms of a moral construct. It’s hard to build something on our own that is sustainable long-term.
  • A higher power will help create a moral construct.
  • It's absolutely huge to have faith in something bigger than yourself.

[11:55] You Have To Work Inside Out When It Comes To Losing Weight and Having More Energy

  • True change starts with identity.
  • People have this really bad habit of thinking that the outside actions are going to change their hearts.
  • True pure faith will produce the desire to do the right thing.
  • First, you need to let your internal identity change. So, it’s time to create an identity where you accept and love who you are.
  • Outward change is a temporary fallacy, and inward change is what manifests long-term growth.
