Today, I am blessed to have here with me Morgan Nolte, PT, DPT, Board Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist (ABPTS) is the founder of Zivli, LLC. 

She graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2014 and completed the Creighton University Hillcrest Health Systems Geriatric Physical Therapy Residency Program in 2015. Outside of work she loves cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers, spending time with her husband, Justin, playing with their kids Dawson and Leah, devouring audiobooks, and being active.

In this episode, Dr. Morgan Nolte opens the show by diving into her background and why she is so passionate about disease prevention. Keeping insulin low is one of the most significant ways to prevent disease; Dr. Nolte explains the role of insulin in the body and why having too much of it can wreak havoc on the body. Then, Dr. Nolte speaks about why caloric restriction is not an efficient way to keep weight off; in reality, keeping insulin low is a way to maintain a healthy weight and prevent disease.
