  • In society, your value is placed on your relationship status. 
  • People ask why you’re single. They ask when you’re getting engaged. When you’re engaged, they ask when you will get married. 
  • If you get divorced, then people think that means you failed.
  • Well, one of the greatest gifts we can give is recognizing the value of goodbyes. 
  • Sometimes, the most loving thing you can do is leave. 
  • After three months of engagement, Mark left his relationship. 

[17:00] Stress and High Conflict Relationships Are Creating Poor Health 

  • High conflict couples have higher amounts of leaky gut. 
  • There’s an inflammatory process that occurs when we're dysregulated.
  • When you avoid chaos on the outside, you internalize it. 
  • If you’re anxious about something, it can lead to a sick stomach. 
  • The journey of relationships is teaching us how incredibly wise we are.
