David Sorensen is the Senior Editor of the Duke-Edinburgh Edition of the Collected Letters of Thomas and Jane Welsh Carlyle (1970-2020; 47 vols.); he has edited a number of Carlyle texts for Oxford University Press, including The French Revolution, both in its English Texts series and the Oxford World’s Classics. He is currently editing an edition for OUP of Past and Present. In this episode we discuss the life, times and work of Thomas Carlyle.
