The team added to its tight end room by adding Brenden Bates, an intriguing tight end prospect, off waivers from the Chicago Bears. Bates had a strong preseason. The Jets also filled out their practice squad. The biggest name there didn't spend camp with the Jets. It is former Vikings first round pick Lewis Cine. Cine's signing generated buzz, but it might be good to keep expectations within reason.
