In this glorious conversation, I talk with two alums of The 2024 Magician's Table - Leah Roberts and Rachel Elliott - on the theme of TMT as a seed-keeping space, rather than a seed-growing space. The conversation was rooted in a discussion with Leah last summer that I hadn't been able to quit thinking about.

• the journey towards embracing one's inner authority and offering one's unique gifts
• Leah's experience transitioning from compartmentalized authority from when she was a physician to offering a more integrated and holistic approach through her readings, which involve an ecosystem perspective
• the importance of trust and vulnerability in the de-compartmentalization process
• the importance of self-love and acceptance in the context of personal growth
• seed-keeping as a metaphor for storing and preserving memory of both challenge and support
• seeds - not as a means for an end - but as a complete and whole memory

• Rachel's experience with growing seeds during her time in TMT, which didn't go as planned, and how she interprets this as a symbol of how focusing on personal growth and self-confidence (the "sun") can lead to unexpected developments and deep-rooted changes (the "red roots") in one's life.
• the concept of co-creation and the importance of surrendering expectations in a magical ecosystem
• TMT as the alchemy of the ecosystem, where individual expectations are transformed into something greater than the sum of its parts

Leah Roberts (she/they) is an Aquarian-identified intuitive, careworker, grief tender and retired physician rooted in the healing capacity of relational exchange and embodied connection with other humans, our more-than-human kin and the Unseen. Leah is devoted to befriending and tending to grief as a potent invitation towards aliveness, loving compassion and collective liberation. Drawing upon a deep well of life experience, years of holding space professionally and leaning into the lineages of Western community herbalism and politicised somatics (among others), Leah uses a broad skillset to toggle between companion and guide so that clients may feel held, seen and supported.

Among their many teachers, Leah credits plants and trees who model easeful reciprocity with the gift of their breath and whales who embody the ancestral wisdom of movement and wayfinding in deep waters.
