Lawrence Lam is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Lumenary Investment Management, a boutique funds management business that invests solely in founder-run companies. Despite launching his fund in 2017 Lawrence has kept a very low profile, so I’m very glad I got this opportunity to speak with him.

Lawrence is one of the brightest young thinkers I’ve come across. He is at ease blending mathematics, actuarial science, law, technology and investing into a concise thought and process. In this video and audio episode, Lawrence and I talk about his experience living with an entrepreneurial father, investment banking, inequality, valuation, turnarounds and, of course, the founder’s spirit. This is an episode I’ll listen to again, at least a few times.
