SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey was asked at his conference media days if he is monitoring the legal situations with Florida State and Clemson. Sankey shot down the possibility of further expansion, saying his league is at 16 teams today and will be at 16 tomorrow. He added that he does not want to entangle the SEC in any litigation. Is Sankey playing chess, or do we take his words at face value? Multiple reports in recent months have indicated that the SEC is not planning on expanding further after adding Oklahoma and Texas.
