In this live episode of The Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris is joined by YouTube Slowlights hero, Andy “Sandman” Morse for a tough show about the Detroit Lions loss to the Chicago Bears. We also take your calls – and a one in particular asks about what has become of this Lions team. This was a game the Lions were expected to win, again. With late notice that Matthew Stafford wouldn’t play Jeff Driskel did his best to keep the Lions in the game until the very end.

Detroit Lions Podcast Laments Lions Injuries

Chris woke to the news of Matthew Stafford being out for today’s game and really wanted to go back to bed. This Lions team is built upon the idea that the offense will score enough point to win games. The entire team has been place upon Matthew Stafford’s shoulders. With an injury there, the Lions are in big trouble. Jeff Driskel did an admirable job leading the team on late notice, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the hapless Chicago Bears.

The Lions basically populated the field with second stringers today. The team is made of critical injuries and walking wounded amongst its star players right now. The produce on the field showed just how bad things are. With this loss, it’s time to write off the Lions playoff hopes for the season, but there are a number of things this team can still accomplish.
