While not likely, New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr could be traded this offseason. Speculation links Carr to the New York Giants, but that would all be dependent upon the Saints' head coach hire. Maybe a Mike McCarthy or Darren Rizzi would be happy to work with Carr in 2025, which a Kliff Kingsbury or Joe Brady may prefer a different style of passer. Things don't have to be sour for Carr to be moved if the right situation exists for both team and player.
The Saints should steal the New York Jets approach to landing Aaron Glenn to make sure they get their top option of remaining head coach candidates. Cameron Jordan briefly wanted out after the Week 9 loss to the Carolina Panthers, not his future rests in the hands of the Saints team he almost pushed to be traded away from. If Darren Rizzi doesn't land the full-time head coaching job in New Orleans, he'll have a lot of options for where to head next.
