New Orleans Saints' new head coach Kellen Moore made no commitments to Derek Carr as the team's Week 1 starter in 2025 during his introductory press conference. It doesn't guarantee a split is on the way, but it does continue to call into question Carr's future in New Orleans. Could Spencer Rattler, Jake Haener a free agency addition or NFL Draft option be enough to sway Moore to go a different direction? While Moore didn't commit to Carr, he did give a glowing review and strong alignment when it came to Alvin Kamara.
Gayle Benson wants to win, Moore has a clear vision for his team while speaking directly to his new, passionate fanbase and Clyde Edwards-Helaire has a chance to be back on the roster and playing for his hometown team again during the 2025 NFL season.
