The Brooklyn Nets seem to have been banking on Donovan Mitchell making his way to the team through trade or free agency in the coming seasons. But that might have taken a hit with the latest news. Apparently, Mitchell is now open to resigning with Cleveland and the Cavs just fired coach JB Bickerstaff.

Add to that the news the Houston Rockets might make a play for Mitchell this off-season, and all of a sudden, it’s far from a foregone conclusion that Mitchell lands in Brooklyn.
