Season 10 Episode 16
"The Pentecostal power, when you sum it all up, is just more of God's love. If it does not bring more love, it is simply a counterfeit” - William J Seymour
William J Seymour led the Azusa Street Revival which has been credited for the launch of the Pentecostal/Charismatic movement. He believed in the power of God pouring into the individual and flowing out into their life.
So, what is the result of an authentic encounter with God? What is its impact on us? The answer is love. We come to know that we are loved. We are fully known, fully encompassed, fully embraced, and fully loved.
As a result of God’s love pouring into us, God’s love flows out of us. We become more patient, more kind, more compassionate, and more nurturing.
We seek the wellbeing of everyone we encounter and of the strangers we may never meet. We become more generous and self sacrificing. We care about equity, and justice.
The Pentecostal power? If it ain’t love, it ain’t God.
