“You can only believe in what you don’t know.”

I know this quote can sound confusing.

Or even insulting in a way.

But think of it this way, if there is something you know, then you can share indisputable proof that that thing exists. No one can argue against it.

If when you describe something people want more proof of its existence, then that means what you’re describing is something you believe in, not something you know.

If you are a writer this could translate to you having this grand idea for a story or script. You tell someone about the idea and they are excited by it! They ask to see a script and you tell them you haven’t written it yet. To you, you know it’s a great idea. It’s an amazing story that will change the world! But for them they just see you as a believer of your great idea. And they may also believe you. However, they don’t know. They don’t have that tangible proof.

So artists, creators:

What do you believe in?

What do you know?

What can you prove without a shadow of a doubt completely exists?

What do you believe in that isn’t easy to prove to others exists yet?
