Food and the Need for Nourishment, Nurturing & Connection

Published 6 years, 5 months ago
Description

When we are in the womb, we are firmly cradled in a nurturing container. We are attached to our mothers through a physical umbilical cord that delivers nourishment to our developing bodies. We also know ourselves as expansive souls connected to our Source.

When we are born, we leave the safe container. The physical source of nutrition is cut. We begin to forget our connection to Source. The knowing of ourselves as expansive souls gives way to a presence of being viewing the world from within a small physical body. We feel ourselves as separate, dependent individuals.

Naturally, we look to food as a source that provides what we are missing. Yet food cannot give us the connection and nurturing we are seeking at this level. That’s why many of us can eat beyond capacity and still not feel satisfied.

The transition from mother’s womb to earth’s womb is not a smooth one. But when we realize what we’ve been missing and what we need, we can complete the transition for ourselves – connecting ourselves to the provision and nourishment of earth and connection with Source in a conscious way to bring healing to our feelings of disconnection and scarcity.

That’s what we will practice on this Live healing call.
