Happy International Women’s Day! Today is a day to celebrate the achievements of women – social, economic, cultural and political. It’s a time to celebrate the beautiful powerful feminine energy in each of us and the significance of this energy in bringing balance, harmony and unity to our planet. ‘Abdu’l-Bahá wrote, “The world of humanity has two wings—one is women and the other men. Not until both wings are equally developed can the bird fly. Should one wing remain weak, flight is impossible.” And the whole bird must recognize and acknowledge the balance in order for the bird to take flight. In today’s Prayer & Healing Circle, we will talk about the synergistic relationship between feminine and masculine energies both internally and in the collective of humanity. I hope that we can find forgiveness for the mistakes and pains experienced along the evolution of this journey, and each celebrate the progress we have made.
