Description
Good morning, Atlanta! This is your weather forecast for a wild weekend ahead.

Tonight, we're looking at a stormy situation with showers and thunderstorms rolling through. Expect some heavy rainfall that might make you want to grab an umbrella and maybe a raincoat. Temperatures will hover around 61 degrees Fahrenheit, with south winds gusting up to 30 miles per hour. We're talking a 90 percent chance of precipitation, so be prepared for some wet conditions.

Sunday's going to be a bit of a rollercoaster. Morning thunderstorms will taper off, leaving behind cloudy skies and temperatures dropping to around 44 degrees Fahrenheit by early evening. Those winds will be cranking, blowing west at 15 to 20 miles per hour with gusts up to 35 miles per hour.

Things cool down quick Sunday night, with temperatures plummeting to around 28 degrees Fahrenheit. Northwest winds will keep things chilly at 10 to 15 miles per hour.

Washington's Birthday looks sunny and crisp, with a high near 49 degrees Fahrenheit and light northwest winds.

Looking ahead, we've got a mix of partly sunny days and a chance of showers midweek. Tuesday night might bring some rain, and Wednesday could see showers before noon.

By Thursday, we'll see a return to sunny skies, though temperatures will remain on the cooler side.
