The Pittsburgh Steelers have reportedly asked about trading for Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence in a precedent-breaking bombshell trade.
The news comes from former FSN Pittsburgh host Ryan Burr, who broke the story on Thursday. It makes sense for the Steelers to have asked around, with a lack of obvious upgrades at the quarterback position available to them this offseason.
But between the fact that the Jaguars do not even currently have a general manager, Lawrence has a no-trade clause, and he has more than $100 million remaining in guarantees despite putting up worse numbers in 2024 than Russell Wilson, this all seems a bit far-fetched.
